Serpents Tail Prem / 1 Slalom 23rd & 24th October 2010

A very good turn out for a welcome return to the Serpents Tail with around 140 paddlers for the Saturday Prem and almost 100 paddlers for the Sunday Div 1. It was an excellent well run event and I hope it returns again next year.

The last time I paddled the Serpents Tail was in 1979 white water racing from the Chain Bridge Hotel to below the Town Falls. In those days the competitive season was November through to February.

The light wasn't great for photos and with the lowish water level and overhanging trees it was difficult to get great shots. However, I've posted four galleries of the better piccys. Two for the Saturday Prem and two for the Sunday Div 1.

Just a thought, was this the Prem race with the most missed gates. JUst looking at the results list there are way ober 100 missed gates.
