Llandysul River Festival August 2010 Again asked to be the official photographer at Llandysul's River Festival. An excellent 4 days. One of the best family events that I know about. Click on the image for almost 1,300 images.

An opportunistic commission. Took my granddaughter to the Yeovil Country Park May Fayre for the morning. Took some photos and have now granted a licence to South Somerset District Council to use 11 of them.

Article about Llandysul River Festival co-written with Gareth Bryant (Llandysul Paddlers) published in the December 2009 issue of Ceufad, the magazine of Canoe Wales.

Thanks to CanwCymru for publishing this.

Read and enjoy. The date for the 2010 event is August the 19th until August 22nd.

I was commissioned by Llandysul Paddlers Outdoor Education Centre to act as Official Photographer for the event in August 2009. Hopefully I'll get invited back next year.

The event was well attended, extremely well organised, good fun, excellent food and overall very enjoyable. It helped that good weather arrived and stayed for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Sunday turning dull, damp and drizzly. The water level on the River Teifi was low by Llandysul standards but excellent for the the river festival. The Div 4 or novice class of the Saturday slalom attracted nealy 100 entries in the mens and ladies division, many of whom had probably only tried canoeing on the Thursday - two days earlier.

The new lake was a superb addition to what has alway been an excellent event.

click to go to Llandysul Paddlers website I went on a very enjoyable trip with Llandysul Paddlers to L'Argentière-la-Bessée and Sault-Brénaz, France in 2007. Images taken by myself and Ian Robson are used throughout their updated website. A new gallery of some casual portraits has been recently (July 09) added to their website.

My images were first put into print with this postcard by BTCV following a tour of New Zealand in 2004. This included some conservation work with BTCV at Kaikoura on the South Island where this seascape was taken.
